Getting Here
  • Buses depart from Fripp between 7:30-8:15am.
  • If you are meeting us at Dataw, we ask that you get to the Dataw clubhouse no later than 7:45 so that we don’t hold up the 37 buses that are trying to maneuver the tight parking lot.
  • The friendly folks at Dataw will welcome you and direct you to the waterfront where there will be snacks, water, coffee, and restrooms.
  • Dataw will also have alcoholic beverages for sale before (and after) the race.
What To Do When You Arrive
  1. Sign the Honor Board if you haven’t done it yet
  2. Sign the Dawtaw Thank You Board if you haven’t done it yet
  3. Drop your bag at the Bag Drop. Bag drop will be in the lawn at the start/finish line and our volunteers will stand vigil to make sure your stuff is ok
  4. Please be at the start line before 9am. We cannot wait on you!
  • 8:00-8:45 AM    Music, dancing & games
  • 8:45-8:50 AM    Group stretch/warm up
  • 8:50-9:00 AM    Welcome, announcements, reminders
  • 9 AM                 START! Survivors will be in the front, leading the way!
Bag Drop

Bring your bag, leave it with us at the start line, and reclaim it there when you finish the race. You might want to consider adding a towel and bathing suit to your bag, as the after party includes a resort swimming pool!

Shortcut

You will loop back to the Dataw clubhouse and you can exit there and run across the finish line. This short cut will be six miles.

Pitstops and Toilets

Pit Stops & Toilets will be located at the following mile markers:

  • Mile 1.6 – toilets & pitstop
  • Mile 3 – toilets
  • Mile 4 – pitstop
  • Mile 4.2 – toilets
  • Mile 6 – toilets & pitstop & short cut
  • Mile 6.5 – toilets
  • Mile 8.3 – toilets & pitstop
  • Mile 10 – party!
The After Party

The After Party will be behind the clubhouse at the resort pool, patios, and on 9th hole. The bocce and croquet courts are available to use; please be respectful and play by the rules.

  • Starting at 10:30 AM, Dataw’s chef will be serving lunch and there will be several cash/credit bars set up across the party grounds.
  • Your race bib will entitle you to lunch, and you can buy lunch tickets for your guests (cash and credit cards accepted but cash is always fastest)!
  • DJ Alan will keep things rockin and have us embarrassing ourselves throughout the day. Fabulous games will be played, contests will be won, and lives will be saved.
  • We will start breaking the party down at 1:30 and everyone needs to be on a bus by 1:59 (there’s a wedding and we don’t want to upset the bride)

Get to sleep early tonight!
