Sunrise & Walking On The Sand

Since the race starts pre-dawn you’ll be able to see the sunrise for miles along the course, so be prepared to capture some pretty fantastic photos of you, your teammates, new friends, and the entire gang of Flockers.

Don’t worry about “walking in the sand.” You are on the hard-packed sand of the beach from Miles 1-6, and then again from Miles 9-10. Slow down, soak it up, and take all the selfies you want! Miles 7-9 are on the best street on the island, and in the shade!

Cheering Section

Please be mindful that registrants will be on the street for the first few blocks of the course and we will be restricting all traffic (this includes bike, golf cart, and vehicle). Cheerers can stand along the roads and take pictures but any place that our registrants are walking in the streets will be restricted from golf carts and bikes. The same is true when registrants are on the golf course. You may stand on the side of the cart paths and cheer them on but no carts or bikes are allowed on the course. This is to ensure your safety.

My suggestion is to be at the start line and/or lined up in the grass along Tarpon between the beach club and the boardwalk. After your hero passes by, walk back to the start line to see them pass by around Mile 2. Then golf cart over to Bonito and Ocean Creek and stay there until they pass you at Miles 3 and 4.5. Then cart to the Cabana Club (Mile 6) and cheer them on there. Then back to the Bonito/Ocean Creek intersection (Mile 7) and then go park at the beach club and walk out to the finish line on the beach to wait for them there.
