We’ve received a few inquiries about how we are planning the event amidst COVID concerns.
I wish I had a crystal ball and could see what the status of the country will be like in October, but obviously I have no way of knowing. I can tell you that I am coordinating our efforts with the Governor’s Office and, at this time, all available projections indicate we will be fine.
So I am 100% focused on making sure Pledge the Pink 2020 goes off without a hitch and is indeed the Best Darn Weekend of Your Life.
This does include the reality that social distancing will still be required so we are adjusting our schedule and logistics to address this the best way we can. Bingo, for example, will now be spread out over the entire pool area around the Beach Club and no longer contained just under the tent. And the start line corral areas are all being enlarged to provide more space between registrants.
Local officials will likely recommend that everyone wear a mask when in public. I do not know this for sure, but I think it is something we should all be prepared for and I have purchased masks for yall in anticipation.
And that’s really all we can do at this point: prepare for an October event with the assumption that social distancing and a sense of social responsibility will be in effect.
And with the commitment that October 15-18 will be the best four days of your life (and especially the highlight of your 2020)!!!
