Are you ready to be a #flockstar?

Company’s Coming Yall!

Pledge the Pink is coming to town for three days and 30 miles of parties, hilarious contests, shenanigans, survivor celebrations, and a Guinness World Record holding flock of flamingos!

Our flock comes from 49 states and 17 countries, and these folks have never smelled the sweet scent of pluff mud, tasted May River oysters or nose-kissed a Fripp deer.

They’ve never been carried to town on a golf cart.

Or been invited on the front porch for sweet tea (or moonshine). And probably even ever been called darlin’ before.

Bless their hearts.

So we’re counting on you, your friends, family, neighbors, teammates, co-workers, church groups, and businesses to shower these flamingo-loving cancer warriors with southern hospitality, Lowcountry style!

Fripp Island, Friday Oct 26

The first leg of our awesome adventure includes our maiden voyage to Fripp Island, and for 95% of our flock, this also represents the very first time they’ve seen your beautiful island.

Yall are the ultimate host with 12 cheering stations and snack stops, hundreds of homemade signs, flamingo-inspired decorations, blinged out golf carts, tons of course games, and 14 photographers and ever-present drones to capture this incredible day.

We have a few surprises and up our sleeves, too. This will be a day no one will ever forget!

Dowload the course map and join the fun 9AM – 2:30PM on Friday!

Pack a cooler and party along the race route
Decorate the course with pink balloons, ribbon, and plastic flamingos
Make funny course signs and draw messages in the street with sidewalk chalk

Bluffton/Alljoy, Saturday Oct 27

Think of Pledge the Pink like the Bluffton Christmas Parade. With flamingos instead of Santas!

And we’ll be walking, running, and crawling 10 miles thru Old Town & Alljoy before heading back to Oyster Factory Park for a good old fashioned Btown throw down.

Complete with Cahill’s fried chicken, River Dog beer, and Spartina 449’s magic mermaid bus!

We’ve got a golf cart decorating contest, lawn decorating competition, and a best spirit contest going on for locals to enjoy along the course.

The shenanigans run from 8am-2pm. Download the course map and then get all the Btown deets here.

Cheer and holler as our nutty FlockStars walk down the street
Dress up in pink, wear a costume, and put Fido in a matching tutu
Pass out some tasty treats and help peeps stay hydrated with water and Gatorade. Or Jello shots, PBR and Fireball!

Hilton Head Island, Sunday Oct 28

This will be our 7th year in a row on the island that is (so appropriately) shaped liked a sneaker, and we’re counting on Islanders to show our FlockStars how much they are appreciated!

Join our cheering station at the Coligny Fountain or join us as 1500 FlockStars from around the world write messages in the sand at Coligny Beach (most registrants will reach Coligny Beach between 8:15-9am and then hit the fountain between 9-10:30).

Cheer and help us decorate Flamingo Road and showcase Hilton Head’s most beautiful street: Dune Lane (registrants will be in this area between 9-11am).

Yall don’t want to showed up by little ol’ Fripp and Bluffton, do you?

Decorate the golf cart, pump up the jam, and cruise the courses with enthusiasm and a whole lot of “yall from around here?” dad jokes
Go for the gold in our Bluffton golf cart decorating contest
Just make sure that these amazing people, coming from all over the world, know how much we appreciate them.

Why You Should Care

  • Because 95% of the funds we raise stay here in the lowcountry
  • Because 88% of this year’s registrants are coming from out of town (49 states and 17 countries) and dropping hundreds of thousands of dollars in our local economy
  • Because breast cancer sucks
  • Because we are a community that likes to celebrate life and is always looking for a good time!

Pledge the Pink raises money from sponsorships, race registrations, and from participant fundraising.

Every penny of those proceeds goes straight to 501(c)(3) nonprofits such as the American Cancer Society, Mayo Clinic, Hollings Cancer Center, Beaufort Jasper Hampton Comprehensive Health Services, Volunteers in Medicine, and Carolina Cups.

These dollars provide gap funding for heroic, budget-restricted, nonprofit service providers.

We are able to slice through red tape, and support game-changing beneficiaries in the South Carolina lowcountry.

Please come out and show your support.
