Love from our FlockStars

“There were tears and smiles and it was all the best. I met some amazing survivors and I’ll do this again and again and again… for them.”

Caeli Hill

“It’s not a typical race… the first official sign we saw said “Welcome Walkers” ….walkers… not runners. It set the tone for the entire weekend!”

Cindy, survivor

As a survivor it is my way of giving back to those that cared for me and became my community. It is a great event and fun for walkers, runners, and spectators.

Jane Jarrett

“After my mom died from breast cancer in 2013 I was looking for a way to recharge and raise money for research and mammograms. I think the event is great!!! I look forward to it every year.”

– Shannon Jones

This event changed our lives. Especially the survivors amongst us. It was a chance for them to talk openly about their experiences with others who “got it”. I will be back every year that I am able! I honestly don’t know how you put this event on for the cost of registration. I so appreciate that you make it affordable.

Every day was just incredible… it was the best planned event that I have been a part of.

I never thought it would be THIS MUCH FUN! I can’t think of a better way to honor the survivors and angels.

“I’ve done dozens of races, and Pledge the Pink is by far the best one. The amount of love that is put into each detail is just amazing. Everyone makes you feel like a rock star.”

thumb_01_60_60Donna Logan

I loved running on the beach and seeing the the pink mass of women (and men) running towards us and the smiles and congratulations everyone had for each other!

We wanted a destination race that was walker friendly and challenging. The appeal of the 3 Islands really sucked us in! Vacation and challenge! The breast cancer piece of it was a bonus; we like to support a cause and we had 2 survivors in our team. #thisiswhywewalk

– Janet Zink Dalke

I’ve run several races every year, but in this event, I am a person, not just a bib number. It truly is a family and they make sure each of us is having a blast. I made friendships that will last a lifetime.

Janeth Cerra

From the time we hit mile 2 on the very first day, we decided we were already signing up for next year!

Marla J, survivor

Thanks for an INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE.

I just want to say that this event has changed my life. I have fibromyalgia and planned to volunteer last year. But meeting all the walkers and survivors inspired me, and I am proud to say that I walked three miles on day 1, six miles on day 2, and 10 miles on day 3!!!!

“My friends and I have been heckled at other events because we are always the last ones. We were worried that we’d be treated the same here. Instead, we were treated like queens. I’ve never experienced so much love, enthusiasm, and respect. It is pure joy.

Needing to express to all how much this event has been a big part of my life the last three years. The first year I walked with my friend and it was just for fun. But 3 months later I was diagnosed with breast cancer. No one ever wants to be part of the “cancer club” but Pledge the Pink inspires us to keep fighting the fight.

Lots of stations and attractions along the way which made for unexpected (and much needed) surprises) when we needed them most. I laughed my head off on day 2.  I think the whole event is perfect. I fully recognize how much work this is to bring it all together … volunteers, locations, buses, boats, etc. … Perfect job!

Awesome energy!!! People were friendly and helpful. Plenty of community support. Fabulous decorations and hysterical signs everywhere. Golf carts zooming around to help us if needed. Great parties. Love the scavenger hunt. Food was amazing!!!

I loved seeing all of the locals out cheering us on! – This was just an amazing weekend!

 Jimi Jo Carter

The community there is so supportive and really into Pledge the Pink. Really wouldn’t be the same without them!

– Judy Frost

I LOVED the support of the community and the beautiful views of the course.

It started as a runner looking for fun- but the great cause and awesome environment (support for survivors, etc) made us come back!

My whole team loved this event! You guys are SO easy to work with and we loved the ‘homey’ touches.  My team loved the routes. Each one was unique and very beautiful!

I did it last year and had such a wonderful time that I decided to go again and bring two friends with me 🙂  I think this year was ten times better than last year.

I’m sure there are always ways to improve things, but I just don’t see how. It’s an awesome event with stupendous workers and volunteers!

There were so many things to see and it kept you from even realizing you had completed another mile. You were also looking forward to what was going to be waiting “just around the corner” or in the next mile!

My friends asked me to join them. I love the fun AND commitment of 3 days/3 island / 30 miles! It really provides an opportunity to have meaningful discussions with amazing women!  I am registered already for 2018 – and you have done an AWESOME job making it better EVERY YEAR!!

I have participated in many walks for Breast Cancer, but I can say that this was the best walk location ever. My walking group “Tutu for Tatas” decided as a group to come to Hilton Head and give it a try instead of walking in Atlanta (hard). We loved it. We are coming back. Keep up the good work.

It’s easy to write a check but it’s more rewarding to be involved & accomplish something.

Allyn Petit

This is an amazing event and if you don’t change even one thing we will still be back!

– (No name given)

The location was amazing.  The locals were so gracious and welcoming.  The food was delicious and well organized.

Seeing so many people, all with the same goal in mind, taking care of people they had never met, encouraging and hugging…. I could go on and on!!! From the time we hit mile 2 on the very first day, we decided we were already signing up the next year!

Low key from a competitive standpoint, great exercise, beautiful destinations, and an awesome spirit among participants!

– Chris Soler

It’s truly a rewarding experience doing this challenging event with people who are all there for the same reason

– Nancy Leslie

Loads of fun! This was a girls weekend to support my mom and friends that walked with me who are survivors of breast cancer.  Great experience!

We walked, we stood like flamingos, we laughed, we cried, and we hugged until we dropped! Love all myTutu sisters! #tutus4tatas #4parties3days #pledgethepink

Loved the survivor starts!
LOVED the walkers’ spirit, linked arms, and more.

LOVED that everyone had the opportunity to experience a journey like no other!  Thank you!

I liked the size and location of the event. I also liked that the proceeds stay more locally in the southeast region. Now that I’ve done it once, I know this is the right event for me!

thumb_01_60_60Tobbi Reeves

Loved every minute. Thank you for my new friends.

Unique and fun and such great communication!

Seeing all the women on the beach was overwhelming
