Registration Terms
Refund Policy:
If you need to cancel your registration, send an email to info@pledgethepink.com and we will process your refund as follows:
- More than 90 days before the event — full refund less a $25 processing fee.
- 60 to 90 days before the event — 50% refund or full transfer to the following year.
- Fewer than 60 days before the event — registrations are non-refundable but may be transferred to another registrant.
Registration Transfers:
Registrations may be transferred to another participant at any time up to September 30. To start a transfer, sign in to your dashboard and open the transfer form — we will email the incoming person a single-use code so they can complete their own registration. Transfers made after September 15 do not receive a custom bib. A registration on a payment plan can be transferred only once its second payment has been made.
Transfers carry a $25 transfer fee, paid by the person receiving the registration when they complete it. The original registrant pays nothing to transfer.
Payment Plans:
The payment plan splits your registration into two card payments. You pay the first half when you register and the second half is charged automatically to the same card 30 days later, and never later than September 30. There is no fee for using the plan — the total is the same as paying in full. The payment plan can be chosen up to August 30.
When you choose the payment plan, your card is saved with our payment processor and you tick a box allowing the second payment. Pledge the Pink never sees your card number. Payments show on your statement as PLEDGETHEPINK.
Cancelling on a Payment Plan:
If you cancel a registration purchased using a payment plan, your first payment is not refundable. This applies instead of the refund policy above for that payment. Your second payment follows the refund dates in the refund policy above, like any other registration, and if it is refunded the registration is withdrawn.
If the second payment has not been made by September 30, the registration is withdrawn. We will email you before that happens. Where several people are registered together on one payment plan, all of them are withdrawn together and their registrations will be cancelled. The first payment is kept and nothing further is charged.
A registration on a payment plan can be transferred only after its second payment has been made.

Photography Release:
Pledge the Pink photographs every day of the event and makes roughly 10,000 photos available to participants free of charge. By registering, you grant Pledge the Pink permission to use your likeness in event photography and promotional material.
Assumption of Risk:
Walking 30 miles over three days carries inherent physical risk. By registering, you confirm that you are physically able to participate, that you will follow all course marshal instructions, and that you release Pledge the Pink, its volunteers, sponsors and the Town of Oak Island from liability for injury or loss sustained during the event.
Weather and Event Changes:
The event proceeds rain or shine. Pledge the Pink reserves the right to alter course routes, schedules or venues for participant safety. Weather-related changes do not qualify for a refund.
