MINGO MARATHON
At Hampton Lake Lazy River August 2, 2026 at 10am
Join us for the first annual Mingo Marathon as we dump hundreds of little pink flamingos into Hampton Lake’s famous lazy river to see which one hits the finish line first. And last!
This is a fundraising event for Pledge the Pink who is on a mission to raise 1 MILLION DOLLARS this year in the fight against breast cancer.
Headquartered right here in little ol’ Btown, Pledge the Pink has raised over 6 MILLION BUCKS to help people during the scariest 10 minutes of their lives. Quite simply, we provide money for breast cancer screening, treatment, and research. And the majority of our fundraising stays right here in SC.
On Sunday, Aug 2 our friends at Hampton Lake are hosting our first Mingo Marathon and we will release several hundred rubber flamingos into their fun lazy river.
The bird that hits the finish line first will win $100. And the last mingo will walk away with $50.
Donate $5 for one flamingo or get you a six-pack for $25.
Winners DO NOT NEED TO BE PRESENT TO WIN, though we hope that our fabulous Bluffton community will come out to cheer the little birdies on.
Gift certificates from Local Pie, Captain Woody’s, and SERG Group Restaurants will also be in the prize mix so come out for a morning full of mingos, money, and mammograms!
